Confirmation Page Settings

Edit Confirmation Page Settings

RunSignup allows you to customize the confirmation page that runners see after registering for your race.  You can find all of the settings explained in this section by going to the Race tab, selecting Registration, and then opening up the section for Confirmation Page Settings.

Confirmation Page Settings

After confirming their registration, registrants will be brought to your confirmation page, where they will receive a message that reads "Congratulations on Registering" by default.  However, you have the option to customize this message, by entering your message into the field for Congratulations Message.

On the registration confirmation page, a Confirmation Code is displayed by default.  This code is randomly generated, and can be used as a means to verify that a registrant went through the registration process (available through the API).

If you do not plan on using the Confirmation Code, then you can check off the box for Hide Confirmation Code.  This will hide the confirmation code on the confirmation page.

By default, there will be a Refer Your Friends option on the confirmation page.  This will have options to Post to Facebook, to Tweet, and to Share via E-mail.

If you would like to remove these social sharing options from your confirmation page, then you can check off the box for Hide Social Sharing.

Also on the confirmation page, there will be a button for Back to Race Website.

By default, this will link to your race page on RunSignup.  However, you do have the option the change this link to a different URL by filling out the field for Custom Back to Website URL.

Confirmation Page Button

RunSignup allows you, as the race director, to specify a “Next Step” for your registrants, after the completion of their registration.  This is made available in the form of a custom confirmation page button.

By adding a custom button to the end of the registration process, you can link your registrants directly to your personal website, or another related site that your registrants should visit next.

Button Text and URL

Once here, you can enter in the Button Text, which is the text that will appear inside of the button. And then, enter in the URL for the page that you would like this button to link over to.

For example, this is how this button set up would look and function for registrants:

Automatically Open Link

While the option to have this link Automatically Open is available, it is NOT recommended that you use it.  Most browsers will block this option as a pop-up, so it is best to leave this box unchecked.  However, if you would like for the link to attempt to automatically open in a new tab when the registrant reaches the confirmation page, then you can check off the box for Yes, open automatically.

NOTE: This will cause the link to open in a new tab, and the confirmation page will still remain open for them in their existing tab.  So even if the pop-up blocker in the registrants browser prevents the link from automatically opening, the button link will still be available on the confirmation page for them to visit your page manually.

JSON Encoded IDs

Finally, if you would like to Send JSON Encoded IDs in URL, then you can check off the box for Yes, send race id, user ids, registration ids, and events ids as JSON encoded url parameter “rsuIds".

IMPORTANT: If you do not know what this option is asking, then you will likely want to leave it unchecked, unless your site developer requests that you turn it on.

Saving Your Settings

After you have reviewed all of these settings, and they are as you would like, then click on Save Settings and you will receive confirmation that the changes have been saved.
